About

The purpose of this blog is to provide information regarding a host of issues that affect the transition that Veterans sometimes experince going from military service back into the civilian work force. Although not having served in the military, I have a deep level of respect and appreciation for those that have. I also have family and close friends that have honorably served and have seen some of the challenges that they have faced making the transition. Finally, as a graduate student I have decided to focus my specialization on trauma and in particular the affects of post traumatic stress disorder.

You are providing a great service to veterans – one we think is important and underserved.
We’ve just launched a website – http://www.vanno.com – that measures what people think of the reputations of thousands of companies. One particular aspect of reputation that we measure is how companies treat veterans and active military.
We can help veterans transitioning to the civilian workforce better understand what companies are – and aren’t – veteran-friendly. Users can also search on many aspects of company reputation at the same time – for example, we could tell you what companies are veteran and minority friendly, and also are most environmentally responsible.
Please feel free to check us out.
Cheers,
Nick DiGiacomo
